Glover Teixeira he is not worried about what will be the most important fight of his professional MMA career. On April 26, at UFC 172, the Brazilian will face the light heavyweight champion, Jon Jones, who is considered the best pound-for-pound fighter today.
However, Jones's record doesn't make Glover nervous. For him, it is the North American who should worry about his game. “People always tell me, ‘Oh, you need to bring this guy or that guy in to simulate the style of Jon Jones’ but I don’t worry about him. In my mind, he will have to worry about what I am going to do to him”, commented Teixeira, in an interview with the North American television channel “AXS TV”.
“I have the power to beat him. I need to believe that my skills will work against his skills. He is the champion, but I believe in my abilities and I believe that, on April 26th, I will knock him out”, concluded the Brazilian.
At 34 years old, Glover has a record of 22 wins and two losses in professional MMA. His last setback was in 2005, in his fourth fight, when he lost to Ed Herman by decision.
