UFC 284 warm-up: Review Islam Makhachev's victory over Charles do Bronx

Lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg) of Ultimate, the Russian Islam makhachev will put its title on the line for the first time in UFC 284, which will take place next Saturday (11). Surrounded by expectations and provocations between the two teams, Charles of the Bronx e Islam makhachev took to the octagon at the Ettihad Arena, in Abu Dhabi (UAE) to decide who would take home the lightweight belt. However, what we saw in the cage from the first second was a walk from the Russian fighter. Khabib's pupil dominated the duel on the feet and on the ground and, after delivering the second knockdown, landed a katagatame and forced the Brazilian to tap out to the delight of the crowd that filled the arena.

After beating Charles, Makhachev will have another big challenge in the Octagon. The Russian will go to the city of Perth, Australia, to put his belt on the line against the featherweight champion Alexander Volkanovsky. The electrifying clash will take place in the main fight of the UFC 284, next Saturday (11).
