Retired from MMA, Luke Rockhold He spoke, once again, about the possibility of competing in boxing. The North American, who was UFC middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg), declared that he is capable of retiring 'forever' if he fails to knock out the brothers Logan and Jake Paul in the 'noble art'.

“I like Jake [Paul], I like him. I think it makes a lot of sense. Me and Logan, we might as well take him down before we take Jake down, you know? One at a time. If I don't knock him out, I'll retire. I'm going to retire for good. I mean, it gets done. But I'm joining hands. If I don't knock out Logan Paul, I'm out. I guarantee. I would be devastated, but that's not going to happen,” Rockhold said in an interview with 'Inside Fighting'.

Luke said goodbye to MMA after an emotional clash against the Brazilian Paulo borrachinha, in August 2020. Inserted in the co-main fight, the 37-year-old veteran was defeated in a unanimous decision by the judges. In an interview still in the octagon after the negative result, Rockhold removed his gloves and confirmed his retirement from mixed martial arts. The North American left the sport with 22 commitments in the sport, 16 triumphs and six setbacks.

However, anyone who thinks that the former champion may have said goodbye to the sport is mistaken. Despite being reluctant about returning to MMA, the fighter often talks about the possibility of competing in boxing and places the 'Paul brothers' as his biggest goals.
