Newly signed by Bare Knuckle FC, the 'bare knuckle boxer', Diego Sanchez he didn't give up on making another appearance in the UFC. Dismissed by the company in 2020, the winner of the first edition of 'The Ultimate Fighter' (TUF) in the middleweight division admitted his desire to return to Ultimate for a farewell fight. “I miss my UFC fans. I'm going to look for Dana White to see if he'll let me visit the house. I want to see Jon Jones and support it. UFC has become another sport and they don't like older fighters. (…) I would like to step into the octagon for the last time, within my conditions, with positive energy, with the love I feel now. The strength and confidence of being in a good place in life. (…) It would be great, but I'm not promising anything,” said Sanchez, in an interview with 'BJPenn.com'.
