The Swede Alexander Gustafson is the big highlight of the UFC Fight Night 37 fight program, but in the preliminary card of the show it was the Brazilians who shone. At the event held this Saturday, in London, Igor Araujo and Claudio Mineiro gave good performances and defeated the hosts Danny Mitchell and Brad Scott, both by unanimous decision from the judges.

In his first fight in the UFC, Claudio Mineiro surprised the favorite Brad Scott and won the unanimous decision of the judges. The Brazilian started the duel trying to face the Englishman in striking. But at the first opportunity, he managed to grab the Brit's leg and take the fight to the ground. On the ground, he scored points and opened up an advantage.

In the second round, Scott managed to stay on his feet and landed the best blows. The Englishman was close to ending the fight when Mineiro scored a low blow and the referee did not stop the fight. The Brazilian complained and Brad didn't attack him, just looking at the fight mediator. The seconds of confusion were essential for Claudio to recover and continue the fight.

With the duel balanced, the third round would be responsible for defining the outcome of the fight. And it was Claudio Mineiro who got the advantage. The Brit even started better, following the same line as the previous partial. Scott landed good strikes in his standup and avoided being taken down. But halfway through the round, Mineiro managed to reach his rival's back and fall on top. On the ground, he worked some strikes and tried to finish the fight with a leg lock. Despite not ending the fight, the action was enough to guarantee victory in the judges' unanimous decision (29×28, 29×28, 29×28).
