Nevada Commission decides to ban TRT for MMA events

The Nevada State Athletic Commission unanimously decided this Thursday (27) to ban testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) in combat sports, which obviously includes MMA.

The measure, which will take effect immediately, will prohibit fighters from acquiring permission to use the therapy at events that are inspected by the commission. This includes the city of Las Vegas, one of the main fight scenes in the United States.

Furthermore, the commission's top leadership also recommended that entities from other states follow suit and also exclude the TRT from their regulations.

Consequently, the decision makes Vitor belfort, one of the best-known TRT users, is unable to undergo therapy to combat Chris Weidman, which will be worth the UFC middleweight belt. Among the other prominent names that use TRT are Dan Henderson, Chael Sonnen, Frank mir e Antonio Pezão.
