Mark Coleman, one of the most important names in MMA history, decided to put one of his most famous trophies up for sale. The North American, currently 49 years old, started an auction for the trophy he won after winning the PRIDE GP 2000, in Japan.
The tournament, held in absolute weight, was the first organized by the Japanese company, which was the biggest power in world MMA between the second half of the 1990s and the first half of the 2000s. The dispute featured some of the most important names of the time, as Royce gracie, Kazushi Sakuraba, Igor Vovchanchyn, Mark Kerr and Kazuyuki Fujita.
To win the cup, Coleman overcame Masaaki Satake (submission), Akira Shoji (decision), Fujita (technical knockout) and Vovchanchyn (knee submission), with the last three rounds taking place on the same night, in Tokyo.
The starting price required for the trophy is US$24,5. The auction, held on the website eBay, will run until March 2nd.

Coleman worked professionally in MMA between 1996 and 2010. Among his greatest achievements are also winning UFC 10 and 11, held in the tournament format, and the UFC heavyweight belt. In his last fight, he was submitted by another MMA legend, Randy Couture.
