Despite being defeated in the main fight of the 'Bellator x Rizin' challenge, Brazilian Roberto Satoshi won praise from the president of the second largest MMA organization in the world. “Satoshi is a dangerous fighter. He would definitely be among the top ten fighters in the world with this performance. This was very stressful to watch because it was a very close fight and I thought a few times that McKee might be in trouble and get submitted. McKee did what he had to do to win, but anything can happen in an MMA fight. It was a fun night of fights,” said Coker.
Despite the defeat against A. J. McKee, Satoshi remains Rizin's lightweight champion. The Brazilian based in Japan won the belt in June 2021 and since then, he has defended the belt on two occasions. The 33-year-old fighter has a record in the sport of 14 triumphs and two setbacks.
