Brazilian Roberto Satoshi was close to breaking the bank in the 'Bellator x Rizin' challenge, held this Saturday morning (31), in Saitama (JAP). In the face of hard A. J. McKee, considered a clear favorite for the clash, the Tupiquim black belt was better in the second and third rounds, but, even so, he ended up defeated by the judges' unanimous decision.

In the fight, McKee started better. The North American worked well on top, nullifying the black belt's attacks and scoring points. In the second round, Satoshi was better. The fighters exchanged hard punches while standing, but the Brazilian took him down and quickly got to his back. Roberto had a wide advantage on the ground for a long time. AJ managed to get out in the last seconds and tried to take the advantage with a stomp and powerful blows, but most of them remained empty.
In the third and final martial, Satoshi was better on the ground again. He came close to submitting with a rear naked choke, but McKee managed to survive. At end, A. J. McKee won the unanimous decision.
