Nikita Krylov replaces Thiago Silva and faces Ovince St. Preux at UFC 171

The Ukrainian agreed to move down to light heavyweight and fill the vacancy left by the Brazilian after his dismissal

After announcing the termination of the Thiago Silva, who was arrested last Friday (08) in the United States, the Ultimate organization has already announced who his new opponent will be. Ovince St Preux, who would face the Brazilian at UFC 171 – an event scheduled for March 15th. This is the Ukrainian Nikita Krylov, who will have his third fight in Ultimate.

At just 21 years old, Nikita Krylov has a record of 16 wins and three losses. The Ukrainian was a heavyweight, but agreed to move down to light heavyweight (with a weight limit of up to 93 kg) to be part of the fight night card in Dallas (USA). Already Ovince St Preux has a record of 14 wins and five losses. Since moving from the now-defunct Strikeforce to the UFC, St. Preux is undefeated. There were two victories for the North American in the new organization: over Gian Villante and Cody Donovan.

UFC 171 takes place on March 15th, at American Airlines Center, in Dallas (USA). In the main fight of the night, John hendricks, last challenger to the former champion Georges St Pierre, faces the veteran Robbie Lawler for the vacant welterweight belt. In the co-main event of the night, the former interim title holder of the 77 kg division Carlos Condit is ahead Tyron woodley.
