The knockout of Dan Henderson em Michael Bisping, at the historic UFC 100, in 2009, is still one of the most remembered moments in the organization's history. In the event considered the biggest ever held by the UFC, the North American knocked down the Englishman with his feared right hand in the fight that brought the two coaches from the ninth season of the UFC face to face. reality show The Ultimate Fighter.

Almost five years after the event, Bisping commented on the fight in a good-humored way. The Englishman acknowledged that he exaggerated his provocations and that, therefore, he deserved the knockout. “That was the biggest sale of pay-per-view than the UFC ever had, with 1,6 million buyers. They all saw me get knocked out in a devastating way after talking a lot of nonsense before the fight. Therefore, I got what I deserved in that fight”, he said, in an interview with the British television channel BT Sport.

Furthermore, upon being knocked out for the first time in his career, Bisping revealed that he had strange feelings in the locker room, as he did not remember what had happened.

“After the fight, I didn’t remember anything. I was taking a shower and had no idea what was happening. I told my manager that there was no way I could have been knocked out, because I wasn't going to fight for the next two months. Then, some people came to me and said that I should go to the hospital, but I didn't understand what was happening”, says the Englishman.

“In my head, I thought I was there to be in some fighter's corner, but that I had been convinced to replace someone at the last minute. That's what was going on in my head. It was only when I was in the ambulance that I realized what had happened”, added Bisping.

After a long period of inactivity, Bisping already has a date set to return to the UFC: it will be on April 16, when he will face Tim Kennedy in Quebec City, Canada.
