Minotauro faces Roy Nelson on UFC return to Abu Dhabi

Heavyweights face each other in search of rehabilitation on April 11th

The Brazilian Rodrigo Minotauro is back in action. After being away from the octagon since June 2013, due to a broken arm suffered during the fight against Fabricio Werdum, at TUF Brasil 2 Finale, the veteran heavyweight faces the 'chubby' Roy Nelson. The fight will be the main attraction of UFC Fight Night 39, on April 11, a show that marks the return of the biggest organization in the world to Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates.

The UFC has been away from Abu Dhabi since April 2010, when it promoted its 112th edition in the city. In this ocasion, Anderson Silva faced Demian Maia in the main fight and defeated his compatriot by the judges' decision, but ended up booed by the public, who didn't like his stance in the Octagon.

As for the UFC's return to the United Arab Emirates, the country of Tahnoon Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, one of the organization's partners, Minotauro and Nelson are looking for recovery inside the octagon. The Brazilian athlete is trying to recover from a series of two defeats in three appearances. Nelson is coming off two consecutive defeats. The winner of TUF 16 was surpassed by tipe Miocic and Daniel Cormier
