Away from the Octagon for almost a year, recovering from a serious knee injury, Francis Ngannou excited fans with a video published on social media.
In the publication, shared through his official “Instagram” profile, the UFC heavyweight champion (up to 120,2 kg) appears practicing kicks with his right leg during a training session at Xtreme Couture, the gym he is part of.

“Slowly starting to kick again. Feeling very good. Thank you, Eric Nicksick, for having me,” Ngannou wrote.

The video published by Francis Ngannou is a good sign, taking into account that the Cameroonian underwent surgery to reconstruct his anterior cruciate ligament and repair the medial cruciate ligament of his knee, injured before the victory over Cyryl Gane, in January, when he unified the linear and interim heavyweight belts.
In addition to the injury, Francis Ngannou is in the middle of a contractual dispute with the UFC. With a contract with the organization only until the end of the year, the champion has not yet guaranteed his permanence and demands a clause that allows him to have a boxing fight to renew with Ultimate.
If an agreement is reached with the UFC, the tendency is that Francis Ngannou have the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) Jon Jones as the next challenger for the belt.
