Vadim Nemkov does well, sets the pace and surpasses Corey Anderson

The fight started strong, with Corey trying for a takedown and being countered by Nemkov. The North American remained in the center of the cage, working from a distance, but was shaken by the Russian's blows as he approached. Anderson lifted Vadim's leg, and didn't take him down. In the final stretch, Fedor's 'pupil' delivered a spinning kick that made his rival fall. He, on instinct, even tried a goal kick, which is illegal, but missed.

In the second round, Nemkov applied good combinations and touched his rival frequently, in addition to avoiding Anderson's takedowns. The North American tried to exchange with his rival, as he saw his attempts being frustrated, but he couldn't even find Vadim in the cage.

Corey came back strong in the third round. Cradled by a left hand, the fighter smelled the 'smell of blood' and shook Nemkov. He continued marching forward, found the distance and seemed at ease in the fight. The Russian, on the other hand, retreated from his actions.

The fighters did not slow down. Vadim tried a high kick, lost his balance and saw Corey looking – again unsuccessfully – for the takedown. The Russian found a 'path of stones' with kicks to the North American's leg, who started to limp in the fight.

With an advantage on the scoreboard, Nemkov did not expose himself and started to adopt a single blow: the kick to Corey's left leg. The fighter, in fact, was attentive and followed the strategy to take few risks. He won the US$1 million prize based on the judges' decision.
