The organization's only event in November, the Bellator 288 brings, in its main fights, two duels that promise 'pure dynamite' to liven up the night of this Friday (18th) for fans of mixed martial arts. In the main fight, the Russian Vadim nemkov faces the North American Corey anderson, in the grand final of the light heavyweight (up to 93kg) tournament. In the co-main clash, the Brazilian Patricky Pitbull defends his lightweight belt (up to 70,3kg) for the first time against Usman Nurmagomedov, Khabib's cousin. The show takes place at the Wintrust Arena, in Chicago, Illinois (USA).

Patricky Pitbull x Usman Nurmagomedov
After winning the lightweight belt with a beautiful knockout over the Irishman Peter Queally, in November 2021, Patricky Pitbull climbs into the circular cage for the first time to defend his title. After a short stint at Rizin in 2019, the featherweight champion's brother returned and had two consecutive fights against Rizin's training partner. Conor McGregor and achieved one victory and one defeat. The Brazilian athlete has a record of 24 triumphs and 10 setbacks as a sports professional.
Khabib's cousin, Usman arrived at Bellator in 2021 'on purpose' so as not to have to bump into his training partner Islam makhachev in the UFC's lightweight elite. In his four fights in the organization chaired by Scott Coker, the Russian fighter only won his debut by decision of the judges, all of his other rivals were beaten in the first round. Nurmagomedov is undefeated in professional MMA with 15 wins.
Vadim Nemkov x Corey Anderson
After the frustrating 'no contest' in the first duel between the two, last April, Vadim nemkov e Corey anderson will have another opportunity to decide the winner of the light heavyweight tournament (up to 93kg), who will be the new champion of the category and who will take home the huge prize of US$1 million (around R$5,3 million).
Pupil of the legendary Fedor Emelianenko, Nemkov arrived at Bellator in 2017 and, since then, has beaten all seven opponents who have had the opportunity to share the circular cage with him. Light heavyweight champion since August 2020, Vadim will be defending his third title and has a record of 15 triumphs and two setbacks in the sport.
Former UFC veteran, Corey anderson remains firm in his goal of making Dana White regret letting him go. Since his arrival at Bellator, 'Overtime' has won three of his four fights, all by knockout, and had just one 'no contest' in his first duel with Nemkov. The North American has a record of 16 positive results and five negative results as a professional.
Brazil on the card
Three Brazilian athletes will take to the circular cage in the 288th edition of Bellator. In a duel for the lightweight division, veteran Killys Mota faces his compatriot Jairo Pacheco. Debuting in professional MMA, Wladmir Gouvea from Goiás faces North American Kory Moegenburg.
