In his first interview after breaking his left leg, Anderson Silva declared that the injury was a fatality and that he would have won the fight if he had not been injured. Spider's words were not very well received by the technician. Chris Weidman, Ray Longo. The coach criticized the Brazilian's comments and advised him to accept the result and correct the flaws presented during his career.

“I think these guys are just not in touch with reality, and they have to learn how to lose properly, grow from their losses and move on, rather than making excuses. Find your way back, correct your mistakes. That's what being a champion really is. A victory or defeat doesn’t make a champion, but making excuses certainly doesn’t either,” said Longo, in an interview with the “MMA Junkie” website.

The coach also said that Anderson's words, which he considers excuses for the defeat, damage his image and legacy. “I think the guy deserves a legacy. I really hope he's honest and just admits that the kid beat him, fair and square, twice, and goes ahead and lives up to all his accolades. I think it will diminish his legacy if he continues to make excuses, because I don't think that's what a champion should do,” he said. Longo also stated that he sees no reason for a new fight between the Brazilian and the North American. “I just think he (Anderson) was dominated in both fights and that he definitely doesn't deserve a third fight, in my opinion,” he concluded.

Anderson is a terrible loser. In fact, I never liked this guy. He took a beating in the first fight, he got beaten in the second too. The luck was that he broke his leg, otherwise it would have broken badly. Be humble Andenrson….
