Weidman is already thinking about a duel against Belfort: 'It will be a great fight'

Chris Weidman is the only man to defeat Anderson Silva in the UFC. The North American, who took the Brazilian's belt in July and defended his title for the first time last night (28), no longer thinks about the rivalry with Spider. Despite his great achievement, as soon as he overcame the Brazilian at UFC 168, Weidman was already talking about the duel against Vitor belfort, selected as the next challenger for the belt.

“I think it will be a great fight against Belfort. After passing through Anderson Silva, I hope to fight the best out there,” said Chris at the press conference after the show.

In its turn, Vitor belfort, who also participated in the press conference, thanked Weidman for the opportunity to compete for the title and congratulated him on his triumph.

“I would like to congratulate you on your victory. Of course it didn't happen the way we would have liked, but I want to thank you for accepting my challenge and saying that I will be at the gym this Monday preparing to fight with you”, said Belfort.
