Jon Jones' trainer gets excited when describing his pupil's evolution towards his long-awaited UFC heavyweight debut

One of those responsible for preparing Jon Jones In the legend's long-awaited debut at UFC heavyweight (up to 120,2kg), Brandon Gibson couldn't hide his excitement about expectations for the test. Present in the North American's daily life, the coach guaranteed that the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) will present something new to the fans and the sport.

“Jones will bring a lot to the table at heavyweight. I don't think I've ever seen an athlete in this category show anything like this. I'm very proud of the work we've done over the last three years,” said Gibson, in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

Despite his confidence, Jon still has no plans to debut in the division. The wait, however, does not discourage Brandon.

“Whether in December or another date. Against Stipe (Miocic), Francis (Ngannou) or even another opponent. We’re focused on Jon and his evolution,” he closed.

Considered by many to be the best MMA fighter of all time, Jones hasn't stepped into the Octagon for almost three years. In his last commitment, the athlete defended his old light heavyweight belt, when he overcame Dominick reyes. Months after the triumph, the fighter gave up the belt and began preparing for the change of category.
