The biggest MMA event in Latin America, the Jungle Fight crowned, on Saturday night (21), the first champion of a women's division of the event. In the city of Belém (PA), Larissa pacheco beat the Mexican Irene aldana and won the inaugural belt in the bantamweight category, in the co-main fight of the Jungle Fight 63.
Playing at home, the 19-year-old from Pará went all out against her Mexican opponent. Showing a lot of desire, the fighters performed two rounds of action and opportunities for both sides. In the third round, however, pushed by the local fans, Larissa achieved a technical knockout and became the first Jungle champion. The Bulldog Team athlete now has nine wins and no losses as a professional.
In the main fight of the night, another local athlete entertained the public from Pará. Rodrigo “Monstro” de Lima took advantage of his physical advantage over his opponent, Mexican Gabriel “Gorilla” Toussaint, and won by submission just over two minutes into the fight. With the triumph, Monstro won the Jungle welterweight (up to 77 kg) belt.
