Already defeated by the current champion of the women's bantamweight category in a fight held in the now-defunct Strikeforce, the challenger Miesha Tate hope to surprise Ronda Rousey in the reunion between the two on December 28th, in the co-main fight of UFC 168. Tate, who was TUF 18's coach alongside Rousey, revealed that she found holes in the former judoka's game and promised an unprecedented strategy to try beat the undefeated rival.

“There are a lot of weaknesses in her game. Many people think Ronda is invincible, but I don't see it that way. I see a lot of holes in her game, and I see a lot of ways to exploit that. Just because it's never happened before doesn't mean it won't happen soon. I'm going to do something different from anything they've ever done on December 28th. There are gaps there, you saw them, I saw them. There is no need for an explanation, they are there to be used”, said Tate during a press conference call this Tuesday (17).

For the challenger, the fact that they both don't like each other serves as motivation for the fight. In Tate's opinion, a five-round fight would not be interesting. Her desire, like Ronda's, is to end this fight as soon as possible. “I don't just want to win, I want to decide this fight. I think she feels the same way, and that's why I know it's going to be an unbelievable fight. Every day when I start training, I know we are fighting for a common goal. We want to beat each other up, we want a knockout or submission, not a decision. I’m motivated,” she concluded.
