Shortly after the news broke that he had been caught in a doping test at UFC Fight Night 33 for having high levels of testosterone, the Brazilian Antonio Pezão used your profile on Facebook to defend yourself. In a post on the social network, Pezão confirmed the version presented by Ultimate, that the case stems from the poor administration of Testosterone Replacement Treatment (TRT), and claimed that the error in the process was made by the doctor who accompanied him, Dr. Márcio Tannure.

“Months before my fight, I looked for the UFC doctor in Brazil, Dr. Marcio Tannure, so that I could start hormone replacement therapy TRT, duly authorized and recognized by a professional. I started treatment and two weeks before my fight, I took all the tests required by the UFC and, even so, my testosterone level remained low. So, I was recommended by the doctor to increase the application dosage. So I did and, unfortunately, my testosterone level rose a lot. I was suspended due to the very high level (of testosterone). I only did what was recommended. It wasn't my mistake, as everything was passed on by a trained person who understands the subject. I am aware that I did not try to do anything wrong in my fight. I’m calm, because I know it wasn’t my mistake”, wrote Pezão.

Let's see how it goes next week. If you have any questions, let me know”, says the message reproduced on Antônio Silva’s wall. Due to the results of the anti-doping test, Antônio Silva was suspended for nine months and lost the fight night bonus he earned, worth US$50 (R$116). Furthermore, the result of the fight against Mark Hunt, originally a draw, was reverted to a I didn't answer, fight without result.
