Fifth placed in the flyweight category ranking, Brazilian John Lineker could face another member of the top-10 from the division up to 56,7 kg, the Russian Ali Bagautinov. According to the Russian website “MMA Boxing”, Bagautinov and Lineker will face each other at UFC 169, which takes place on February 1st, in Newark (USA).
Lineker has a record of 23 wins and six losses. The Brazilian has four consecutive victories in Ultimate and, according to organization president Dana White, he is no closer to the category belt because he missed weight in three of his five fights at the event. His opponent, Ali Bagautinov, has a record of 12 wins and two losses. The Russian has won his last ten fights, the last two as a UFC athlete.
UFC 169 takes place on February 1st, at Prudential Center, in Newark (USA). In the main fight of the night, the interim bantamweight belt holder Renan Barao face the linear champion Dominick Cruz for the definitive title of the category. In the co-main event of the night, Brazilian José Aldo puts the featherweight belt on the line against challenger Ricardo Lamas.
