at 34 years old Urijah faber still continues to make history in MMA. At UFC on FOX 9, an event held last night (14), in Sacramento, the ‘California Kid’ was not aware of the revelation Michael McDonald, 12 years younger than him, and submitted his rival in the second round. With four consecutive victories and close to competing for the Ultimate belt once again, Dana White, president of the franchise, compares Faber's moment with that of the Brazilian Vitor belfort.
“Faber is in a zone like Vitor belfort. The older they are, the better they are. If you look at McDonald, he is great, and Faber won that way”, said the president.
In turn, despite having lost the last few title fights, against Dominick Cruz, linear champion, and Renan Barao, owner of the interim belt, Urijah faber bet on better luck in a new dispute.
“I would like to fight these two guys again. In fact, I would even fight against Godzilla or King Kong for that title”, said the North American.
