Islam Makhachev details how he believes he will beat Charles do Bronx at UFC 280

Through social media, the Russian stated that he will defeat the Brazilian in the third round to win the lightweight belt

On the 22th of October, Charles of the Bronx e Islam makhachev they duel for the lightweight belt (under 70,3kg) in one of the most anticipated fights of the year. With just over a month left until the fight, the Russian already has a plan drawn up in his head to overcome the Brazilian and become the new champion of the division.

Last Wednesday (14), Makhachev detailed, through social media, how he believes the fight against Do Bronx will unfold. In the Russian's plans, the fight will end in the third round.

“First round warm up, second round take him to deep water, third round finish the job, God willing. I can’t wait for October 22nd,” Makhachev wrote.

Fourth place in the lightweight rankings, Islam makhachev arrives for the title fight on the back of ten consecutive victories and without losing since 2015.

First place in the division, Charles of the Bronx has 11 consecutive victories, including winning and defending the title. In May, the Brazilian lost his belt for not having made the division's weight at the controversial weigh-in of the UFC 274.

Charles of the Bronx e Islam makhachev face each other in the main fight of the UFC 280, on October 22, in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The event also features a bantamweight belt dispute (up to 61,2kg) between aljamain sterling e TJ Dillashaw.
