Last Friday (06), Antonio Pezão staged an electrifying fight against Mark Hunt, which ended in a draw that, in the opinion of Ultimate president Dana White, rewarded the performance of both athletes. Since the final result was announced, a rematch between the Brazilian and the New Zealander has been awaited, as the practice is common in the organization when there is equality in a fight. For Pezão, if this is really the UFC's desire, he will meet Hunt again in the Octagon.

“I don’t choose opponents. I fight anyone they put in front of me. But I'm a UFC employee. If they want to put me in this rematch, it will happen”, said Antônio Silva in an interview with the “MMA Junkie” website. Pezão also commented on the fact that the fight was nominated as one of the likely candidates for the fight of the year award. “I feel flattered. If that's what fans are saying, then it must be true. I’m very happy that we were able to provide a great fight for everyone,” he assured.

Antonio Pezão, who stated that he now plans to take his family on a trip to Disneyland, also commented on the fight and revealed that during the fight he was not aware of the dimension that the duel between him and Hunt was taking on. “Things were happening so fast, I didn't really have time to reflect on how good the fight was. Going into the third round, I knew I was in for the toughest fight of my life,” he concluded.
