Before stepping into the octagon to face James Te Huna at UFC Fight Night 33, last Friday (06), Mauritius Shogun he was going through one of the most difficult moments of his career and was at risk of leaving the top-10 of the light heavyweight division. After the impressive knockout over Te Huna at the event, Shogun earned, in addition to praise from managers and fighters, sixth place in the organization's rankings.
Another highlight in the most recent update to the official Ultimate listing was the rise of Mark Hunt. The New Zealander, protagonist of the “Fight of the Night” in Brisbane alongside Brazilian Antônio “Pezão” Silva, debuted in eighth place in the heavyweight category ranking after the draw.
Furthermore, two other Brazilians rose one position each, even without having played in recent weeks: Fabricio Werdum, which awaits the fight against Cain Velazquez for the heavyweight belt, he went to second place among the heavyweights and Lyoto Machida, who recently debuted with a victory over Mark Muñoz at middleweight, moved into fourth place in the 84 kg division.
