Anyone who was betting on Dana White's bluff when the manager said he wouldn't sign former Bellator welterweight champion Ben Askren was wrong. White's intention never really seems to have been to rely on the wrestler in its roster of athletes. Aware of this, especially after his last meeting with Ultimate, Askren is looking for new directions and has even spoken as an athlete in the eastern event OneFC on your official profile on Twitter.

“How could you say anything bad about One FC paying a fair salary and giving a fighter an opportunity?” replied the former Bellator champion to a fan. Shortly after, Askren retweeted a message from Japanese legend Kazushi Sakuraba congratulating him on arranging the new event. “Good luck to Ben Askren at One FC. I hope he breaks out there, becomes a big star and Dana White begs for him like he did with Fedor (Emelianenko)”, wrote Sakuraba, who made sure to also address the text to the official UFC profile.
