Cro Cop signs contract with Glory striking event

Croatian veteran, ex-K1, PRIDE and UFC, is expected to make his debut in Zagreb against another fighter from the old guard, Remy Bonjasky

Veteran fighter Mirko Cro Cop Filipovic is the new signing of the Glory striking event. The Croatian, famous for his stints at K1, PRIDE and UFC, is expected to make his debut in March, at the event held in Zagreb, the capital of his home country.

Although his opponent has not been officially announced, the event plans to pit Cro Cop against another fight legend, Remy Bonjasky. The 37-year-old Dutchman is a three-time K1 champion (2003, 2004 and 2008) and is expected to have his farewell fight against Cro Cop.

PUBLICITY:

If the fight is confirmed, it would be a repeat of the fight held in 2002, in Fukuoka, Japan. On that occasion, Cro Cop won by technical knockout in the second round.
