The UFC added two fights to UFN 35, which will be held on January 15, 2014, in Duluth, Georgia (United States). Yoel romero e Derek Brunson will face each other in the middleweight category, while Vinc Pichel will face Garett Whiteley at lightweight.
Olympic wrestler Romero has two UFC appearances, having knocked out Clifford Starks and Brazilian Ronny Markes. Brunson has a similar track record, hitting Chris Leben and Brian Houston in both of his Octagon appearances.
The fight up to 70 kg could be decisive for the future of the fighters. TUF 15 semi-finalist, Pichel was run over by Rustam Khabilov in the TUF 16 Finale, while Whiteley lost to Alan Nuguette at UFC Fight Night 29, in Barueri.
The main fight of UFC Fight Night 35 will be between middleweights Luke Rockhold, former Strikeforce champion, and Costas Philippou.
