The Evolve MMA team revealed that one of its main fighters, Japanese Shinya Aoki, turned down an offer to start fighting in the UFC.

The founder of the Singapore-based team, Chatri Sityodtong, said the lightweight received an invitation to sign a three-fight contract with the biggest MMA organization on the planet, but preferred to stay at One FC, where he has been active since last year. According to him, Aoki chose the Asian organization due to greater financial stability.
