After failing to make weight for the third time in the UFC in his last fight in October, John Lineker decided to take drastic measures. The man from Paraná started working with nutritionist Mike Dolce, one of the main references on the subject in MMA, and said he had already seen relevant results in just one week.

In an interview with the North American website MMA Fighting, Lineker stated that he had lost approximately 5 kg since changing his diet. “He sent me the diet and I started using it. I loved it. I don't eat anything that isn't good for my body, like soda, sugar, pasta. It’s a completely different diet, with lots of fruits and natural things”, detailed the flyweight (up to 56 kg).

I’m losing weight and I’m not even training hard yet”, he celebrated. “Now, working with Mike Dolce, everything will work out. One more win and I will fight for the title.”
