After completing his five-fight contract with Bellator, with the right to win and four defenses of the organization's featherweight belt (up to 65,7 kg), Chris Cyborg is ready to “test the market” and should swap her MMA gloves for boxing gloves soon.

In an interview with the podcast “The Catch Up”, Cyborg revealed that there are few details to finalize his debut in the noble art and that he will soon reveal the date and opponent of his first fight in the sport.
“My team has already received the contract, we have been working on this contract for a while and I believe that we will soon finalize it and I will sign it. Then you will know who and where my next fight will be. I'm very excited to have my first boxing fight. Very, very excited. It’s one of my dreams”, revealed the Curitiba native.
Recently, the name of Chris Cyborg has been closely linked to the Kayla harrison, two-time PFL champion, who is currently seeking the organization's third title. The Brazilian, however, guarantees that she never negotiated with the event.
“We never talked to the PFL. They never talked about this fight. I know there is a lot of talk on the internet about making this fight with Harrison happen, but I never had the opportunity to discuss anything (…) Her manager Ali Abdelaziz has already said that Kayla doesn't sell pay-per-views and that it's not interesting . I believe that the organization wants the fight to happen, but its manager doesn't want it. A lot of things need to change if they really want this fight to happen. I’m open to the best fight for my fans,” she concluded.
