Originally scheduled to take place on July 9, the clash between Rani Yaya e cody garbrandt was rescheduled for the Ultimate event on October 1st, which will be hosted on October 1st, with no location yet defined. The information was released by 'mma mania'.
The fight was previously canceled after Yahya was injured. At the time, the Brazilian injured his neck and had to leave the action. The organization then decided to wait for him and tried to reschedule the duel against the North American.

Yahya is on a positive streak with two straight victories over Ray Rodriguez and Kyung Ho Kang. In the organization since 2002, the Brazilian would have a great chance of getting closer to the bantamweight rankings (up to 61,2kg), but he still doesn't project a date for recovery and return to the Octagon. In his career, he has 28 triumphs, ten setbacks, one draw and one unsuccessful fight.
Cody is going through a bad time at the company. Former bantamweight champion, the North American suffered five setbacks in his six most recent appearances, including experience in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg) against Kai Kara France, in which he ended up being knocked out in the first round. He has a record of 12 positive results and five negative results in MMA.
In addition to Yahya, Mackenzie dern, Francisco Massaranduba, Tabatha Ricci e Daniel Miojo represent Brazil in the Ultimate Octagon.
