The Talent Circuit closed 2013 with a finals show. Of the 13 fights on the show, held last night (23), in Campinas, seven ended with the famous 'three taps'. In the main fight of the night, under the eyes of Rodrigo Minotauro, Leandro Buscapé dominated the actions from start to finish of the duel and beat Carlos Leal by unanimous decision from the side judges. Of the 13 MMA fights on the night, seven were decided by submission, in addition to four knockouts.

With the new triumph, Buscapé scores his second consecutive victory since leaving the UFC last June. Now playing at lightweight (up to 70kg), he celebrates the current moment in his career. “I went through a difficult time when I left the UFC, I only had one chance there, but I overcame it. I'm fine with myself, training, dedicating myself a lot, and I've already achieved good victories after that. 2014 will be an excellent year for me, you can wait”, warned Buscapé.

Carcacinha maintains unbeaten record in arm-bar

Young Brazilian MMA talent, Ricardo Carcacinha, just 18 years old, proved his excellent phase in the co-main event of the Talent 5 Circuit. Owner of very dangerous jiu-jitsu, he, who is a purple belt, exchanged foot strikes with Lucas Baiano, but it was in the solo where he scored his fourth victory by catching his opponent in an arm-bar and maintaining his perfect record, showing four fights and four victories.

Women shine with jiu-jitsu show

Fans of the gentle art received a beautiful feminine gift on the night of Talent 5. The three challenges between women were defined in submissions. Like a juggernaut, Hérica Tibúrcio gave Chayen Gaspar no chance, finishing just under two minutes into the fight with a fair arm-bar. After the feat, Hérica, who recorded her sixth submission victory on her record, received the brown belt from her coach, Mestre Gato.

Camilinha Pitbull went after Bianca Reis and submitted her in the second round, with a katagatame, recording her ninth victory on her record. Vanessa Mello, still in the first round, caught Suellen Pereira's neck in a rear naked choke.

With twists and turns, Maldonado's pupil finishes

The duel between Alexandre Turquinho and Ewerton Ferreira was intense. With open blows from the beginning of the fight, Ewerton surprised with a cross, knocking Turquinho down. However, Fábio Maldonado's pupil, who was guiding him from the corner, survived Ewerton's ground and pound until the bell sounded. In the second stage, Turquinho still escaped a triangle, gathered strength and finished the fight with a beautiful rear naked choke.

“He is a very talented boy, with a lot of quality in jiu-jitsu, as he demonstrated today in the cage”, analyzed Maldonado.

Ney Farias, also via rear naked choke, and Bruno Ferreira, via arm-bar, also finished their respective fights, against Alexandre Amaro and Edson Jabá, both in the first round. In addition to the main fight, Arthur Oliveira also needed three rounds to beat Thiago Samurai unanimously in the opinion of the side judges.
