The third edition of the Premium Fight Championship, held last night in Campinas, was hot, full of good fights and controversial results. Highlight for Bruno “Beirut”’s victory over Bruno Frazatto. Another major attraction of the night was the illustrious presence of Rodrigo Minotauro, Rafael Feijão and Charles “From the Bronx.”

In the main fight of the night, Edson PC gave Francisco Júnior no chance and won by submission in the first round. Right at the beginning of the duel, the Fight Fitness athlete performed an excellent takedown and came out on top. It didn't take long for him to get the mount and start a sequence of powerful punches on his rival. The coup de grace came after an unsuccessful spin by Francisco, who ended up turning his back on his rival. The jiu-jitsu black belt didn't forgive and locked in a rear-naked choke. With the victory, Edson qualified for the PFC featherweight belt, against Júnior Assunção.

Bruno Frazatto loses to 'Beirut' in a split decision by the judges

In one of the most anticipated fights of the night, Team Nogueira athlete Bruno Frazatto was defeated by Bruno “Beirute”, by split decision. Despite the great balance of the duel, a decision by the referee caused quite a controversy. In the second round, when Bruno Frazatto was mounted on top of his rival, the referee ordered the fight to restart standing up, citing a lack of combativeness. The decision displeased the fighter and the leader of Team Nogueira, Rodrigo Minotauro, who after the duel complained:

“I didn't agree with the judges' decision, Frazatto was in the mount, which is a very advantageous position. In my opinion, Bruno Frazatto won, I thought he was better in the first and third rounds, but the fight was really well balanced and we have to respect the referees' decision”, acknowledged the UFC star.

The other two Team Nogueira athletes present on the card did not disappoint. Considered the favorites, Francisco “De Assis” and Magno “Cri Cri” beat their respective opponents, Joselino “Índio” and Wellington César, and left the team's credit positive in the event
