First Brazilian woman to climb into the octagon in UFC Las Vegas 59, held this Saturday (6), Mayra Sheetara experienced a carousel of emotions in his confrontation against Stephanie Egger. In her second appearance at bantamweight (up to 61,2kg), the Minas Gerais native achieved a lightning-fast victory, with a submission in the first round. The Tupiniquim's joy, however, was shaken after initial questioning about the Swiss's withdrawal.
Seconds after locking in the armbar, which ended the fight, Sheetara released the position, signaling that her opponent had given up. Immediately, referee Chris Tognoni removed the athletes, but Egger indicated that he had not surrendered. After checking the camera images and consulting the side judges, the conductor of the confrontation confirmed Mayra's positive result.

With the triumph, Sheetara achieved her second consecutive victory in the company. In a new phase in the bantamweight division, the fighter doesn't know what it's like to lose in the division.
Overtaken by the Minas Gerais native, Stephanie's run of two victories ended.
The fight
The confrontation began with the athletes exchanging low kicks in the center of the octagon. Still in the first minute, Egger attempted a takedown, but ended up falling into a disadvantageous position. Stephanie managed to reverse the position, but Sheetara tried to get an armbar and forced her rival to give up. The outcome, however, was controversial, as there were doubts as to whether the Brazilian's rival had given the 'three taps'.
Bryan Battle erases rival with devastating knockout
The third fight of the event was marked by a devastating knockout. In a clash contested at welterweight (up to 77kg.), BryanBattle staged a true massacre in front of Takashi Sato. Aggressive, the fighter needed less than a minute to land a high kick that immediately obliterated his opponent.
With the victory, Battle continues in a great phase of his career. Now, the fighter has seven consecutive victories.
Brutally run over, Sato found himself in trouble in the company. The athlete now has four setbacks in the last five appearances
Cory McKenna shines and submits Miranda Granger
Strawweight promise (up to 52,1kg.), Cory Mckenna She gave a real jiu-jitsu lesson and made history by becoming the first UFC athlete to submit with a von flue choke. Opponent of Miranda granger, the fighter took no notice of her opponent and achieved the unprecedented feat in the second round.
With the positive result, McKenna achieved his second positive result since his debut in Ultimate. Now, the athlete has two triumphs in three appearances.
