2013 was a difficult year for the Nogueira brothers in the UFC. In his only fight of the year, Minotauro ended up submitted by Fabricio Werdum at TUF Brasil 2 Finale and was injured in the duel. As for Minotouro, even though he won the duel against Rashad evans in February, he has been suffering from back problems and has been forced to leave two fights since then. Despite this, the duo's manager, Ed Soares, is betting on the brothers' return to the Octagon in the first half of next year.
“Minotauro is getting healthy, and we will see him fight in the first half of 2014 for sure,” Soares told the “MMA Junkie” website. The agent also spoke about Minotouro's refusal to fight Gustafsson. “Rogério (Minotouro) said he would like to accept the fight, as he thinks this fight represents where his career is at the moment. But to fight a guy like Gustafsson, you have to be 100%, and he didn't want to take the risk of taking the fight, trying to train with the back injury and then suddenly not being able to fight and having to leaving a main event”, he concluded.
At 37 years old, Rodrigo “Minotauro” Nogueira has a record of 34 wins, eight losses, one draw and one unsuccessful fight. Since winning the interim UFC heavyweight belt in 2008, Minotauro has alternated victories and defeats in his last eight fights. His twin brother Rogério “Minotouro” has a record of 21 wins and five losses. Minotouro comes from two triumphs, over Tito Ortiz e Rashad evans, and currently occupies fifth place in the light heavyweight rankings.

I think Minotouro should continue fighting, but Minotauro has already made his great contribution to the sport and should retire urgently. He's slow and he's already lost that Jiu he had because of the exhausting training, fights, INJURIES AND AGE TOO.. Thanks Minota Now leave it to others.
There are some heavyweights that have now emerged in Brazil that have a future if they can achieve their momentum. They will be the future of World MMA. But they are still immature and dirty their cartels because of their momentum.
