What depends on the light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg) Jiri Prochazka, Magomed Ankalayev he will have to wait a little longer to be able to fight for the belt. In an interview with 'ESPN Deportes', the Czech fighter reinforced his desire to give the Brazilian a rematch Glover Teixeira and suggested a possible opponent for the Russian athlete.

“I offered the rematch to Glover because I was dissatisfied with my performance and I won with 20 seconds left in the fight. I think Glover deserves the fight. I know he has other guys in the division, like (Jan) Blachowicz and (Magomed) Ankalaev, who are good too. But for me, it doesn't matter who the next opponent will be. I offered Glover the rematch because I think he deserves it. We talked about it and I want to fight at the end of the year or something like that. We are negotiating,” said Prochazka.
Asked about the possibility of facing Magomed Ankalayev, number three in the division, the current champion praised the Russian athlete, but suggested that he first face the Pole Jan Blachowicz, second place in the category.
“I want to see them fight later (Ankalaev and Blachowicz), because I want to see who is the best. I don't want to predict (who will win). But if I had to choose between these guys, I would choose Ankalaev, because he's in shape, everyone is looking at him like he's really good. But I'm going to show everyone that I'm the best. But now Glover is in front of me, so I'm going to keep preparing for him”, concluded the Czech.
Glover Teixeira e Jiri Prochazka faced each other for the first time in UFC 275, on June 11th. In a fight that is considered, up until now, one of the best of the year, the Brazilian put in a good performance, but faltered in the final seconds and ended up being submitted by the then challenger with less than 30 seconds left before the bell sounded.
