The 2022 PFL season begins its penultimate stage. This Friday (5), in New York (USA), the organization presents fans with an event that has 11 fights scheduled. With Anthony Pettis As a major highlight, the company will hold the semi-finals in the lightweight (up to 70,3kg) and light heavyweight (up to 93kg) tournament.
Former UFC champion, Anthony Pettis returns to the Octagon after his loss to Stevie Ray at the end of June. Even though he was beaten, the North American managed to get the score needed to advance to the semis and, interestingly, his opponent for the stage will be his final tormentor. The athletes do the main fight.
A newcomer to the organization in the 2022 season, Delan Monte will be the Brazilian representative among the tournament participants. A light heavyweight athlete, the Tupiniquim will be Rob Wilkinson's opponent. The combatants measure their strength with an eye on the grand final.
On the preliminary card, Marcelo Nunes will take the yellow-green to the decagon. The heavyweight (up to 120,2kg.) measures strength with Dylan Potter.
The event will also feature four clashes between athletes aiming for a contract with the PFL. Brazil will be represented by Lucas Barbosa, a welterweight (up to 77kg) who faces Elmar Umarov.
This Friday's event is scheduled to start at 19pm (Brasília time), with the preliminary card. The main one will start around 22pm (Brasília time).
