One of those responsible for the success of Charles of the Bronx in Ultimate, Diego Lima admitted disappointment with the legendary Khabib Nurmagomedov. Mentor of the Brazilian star, the coach admitted he did not approve of the way the Russian promotes his pupil Islam makhachev. In an interview with 'Canal Encarada', the coach explained his position on the former UFC champion.

“I didn’t like the way Khabib promoted the fight. He conquered everything he has with his fists, not his mouth. He wants his cousin to achieve things through his word,” said Lima.

According to Diego, the way Nurmagomedov conducts negotiations with the UFC favors the Russian. For some, Islam reached a title fight without a significant challenge in his career in the company.

“It's even ugly and, when he (Khabib) talks too much, he ends up discrediting Makhachev. It went a little overboard,” he concluded.
