Henry Cejudo cites evolution and sees the advantage of Valentina Shevchenko in a trilogy with Amanda Nunes

Henry Cejudo analyzed the possibility of a trilogy between Amanda nunes e Valentina Shevchenko in the UFC. Former flyweight (up to 56,7kg) and bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) champion, 'Triplo C' has similar experiences to the Kyrgyz and highlights progress to put her at an advantage over 'Leoa' in eventual third place meeting of athletes.

“For the third fight, I see an advantage in Valentina Shevchenko, just because she became an even better fighter, as well as being younger and smaller. Going up is actually better than going down. If you are moving up to hit 61kg. you’ll feel great,” said Cejudo, on his podcast ‘The Triple C & Schmo Show'.

Despite projecting an optimistic scenario for Shevchenko, Cejudo considers that the champion should give up a rematch to Taila Santos before moving up a division. He also suggests that the Brazilian 'raise her voice' to get another chance at the belt, as she came close to beating the Kyrgyz in the judges' decision, in a fight at UFC 275, which took place in July.

“I think Shevchenko owes a rematch to Taila Santos, who needs to raise his voice (to get the rematch). If you go the whole humble route, you won't get the title shot. She needs to ask for this fight because at the first opportunity I really thought Taila had an advantage over Valentina. And I'm not the only one. I think she (Shevchenko) needs to beat Taila like she should and then goes up to fight for the third time with Amanda nunes”He concluded.

If the fight is scheduled for the future, Valentina would have another chance to beat Amanda. On the other two occasions, the Kyrgyz ended up defeated on points and has already declared her interest in revenge, in addition to having the opportunity to become double champion in Dana White's organization.
