After accepting quadrilogy in Brazil, Moreno changes his stance and explains why he can thwart Deiveson's plan

Mexican reinforces his desire to face Pará in his country, but minimizes the chance due to his desire to fight in 2022; Tupiniquin lands are not included in the current season calendar

Moments after coming face to face with Deiveson Figueiredo in the octagon of UFC 277, Brandon Moreno changed the stance regarding the challenge from Pará to a quadrilogy in Brazil. Victorious in the confrontation against Kai Kara France, which gave the Mexican the interim flyweight belt (up to 56,7kg.), the fighter revealed that the new challenge with the Tupiniquim could take place away from the linear champion's fans. In a press conference after the event this Saturday (30), the athlete explained why the 'God of War' plan could be frustrated.

“I don’t care about the location (of the quadrilogy). If he (Deiveson) wants to go to Brazil, we will go to Brazil. He said it will be ready in December, but the last events (with belt fights) will take place in (Las) Vegas. I want to fight before the end of the year,” said Moreno.

Willing to share the octagon with Figueiredo for the fourth time in his career, Brandon continued explaining why he intends to resolve issues with Deiveson. When made official, the fight between the flyweights will confirm the winner as the absolute champion of the group.

“I have been waiting for him for a long time. I fought Deiveson in December 2020, June 2021 and January this year. I want to have one more fight before the end of the year,” he concluded.

After Brandon's victory over Kai Kara France No. UFC 277, Figueiredo, who was present in Dallas to watch the fight, climbed into the octagon and made the challenge. The idea from Pará, however, could be frustrated by the fact that Brazil is not included as a host for Ultimate shows in 2022.
