Valentina Shevchenko provokes Amanda Nunes after the Brazilian's victory: 'she decided to copy me'

Defeated twice by the 'Leoa' in bantamweight, the flyweight champion recently admitted her desire to complete the trilogy against the Brazilian

The epic duel between Amanda nunes e Julianna Pena in the main fight of UFC 277, last Saturday (30), caught the attention of fans, experts and MMA fighters from all over the world. Among the most attentive looks was that of Valentina Shevchenko, flyweight champion (up to 56,7 kg) of Ultimate and twice Amanda's victim in bantamweight.

After the victory and the regaining of the belt by the “Lioness”, Valentina Shevchenko used social media to congratulate Amanda nunes e Julianna Pena for the duel and took the opportunity to leave a “nip” at the Brazilian. According to the flyweight champion, Amanda would have “copied” her stand-up fighting style to defeat the “Venezuelan Shrew”.

Still as a bantamweight, Valentina Shevchenko measured forces with Amanda nunes on two occasions, but ended up defeated both times. After the last of them, in 2017, which was worth the division's belt, the Kyrgyz-Peruvian chose to move down to flyweight, where she became absolute champion and already has seven title defenses. Recently, after defending the title against Taila SantosIn June, Valentina once again raised the possibility of moving up a division again to complete the trilogy against the Brazilian and seek the second simultaneous Ultimate belt.
