The phase is good for the UFC heavyweight Brendan Schaub. Coming off two consecutive victories, the last being a beautiful submission over Matt Mitrione, at UFC 165, the fighter extended his contract with the organization, guaranteeing at least six more fights at the event.
Schaub has been part of the UFC fighter roster since 2009, when he participated in the tenth season of the The Ultimate Fighter. Member of the team Rashad evans, he finished the program as runner-up, knocked out in the final against Roy Nelson. Since then, he has accumulated six victories, beating names like Mirko Cro Cop and Gabriel “Napão”, and three defeats.
