The successive invitations from Georges St Pierre for John hendricks also carrying out voluntary anti-doping tests during the preparation for UFC 167 seems to have greatly bothered the challenger. Speaking to journalists in Las Vegas (USA), Hendricks spoke about the situation and revealed that he felt accused of his opponent's use of illegal substances.

“I have no respect for someone who insinuates that I am using steroids when they know nothing about me. Has anyone ever accused me of using this? In the last six years, GSP has been accused of using something”, said Hendricks. “If you want to do this, do it right. If you don't want to do it, who cares? Don't put my name in the mud, because you've spent the last six years afraid to submit yourself to this type of test”, added the American.
