Defeated after suffering a serious knee injury in the main fight of the UFC London, heavy weight (up to 120,2kg) Tom aspinall revealed that he will go through a long recovery process. In a post on his Instagram, the English fighter revealed the diagnosis given by the doctor, declared that he will undergo a surgical procedure and thanked his fans for their support.

"Hey guys. Just a quick update on the knee situation because everyone is asking about the diagnosis and what happened to the knee,” Aspinall said on Instagram. Anyone who has knee problems knows that in order to get an MRI, an MRI needs to be done, I need to let the swelling go down. So I spoke to the surgeon, and we have a rough idea of what it is, but we are currently waiting for the swelling to go down, and I'm having the MRI this weekend and having surgery early next week in London. So I just want to thank everyone who reached out. I've been offline. I’ve been in the dumps since Saturday night but I’m hoping to make it through and have surgery early next week,” Aspinall wrote.
Number six in the heavyweight rankings, Aspinall suffered his first defeat with UFC gloves against Curtis blaydes last Saturday (23). In 15 fights as a professional, Tom has a record of 12 triumphs and only three setbacks in his career.
