Hélio Gracie will be honored UFC-94

The UFC organization will dedicate edition number 94 to Brazilian Hélio Gracie, jiu-jitsu master who died this Thursday. Before the start of the show, the organizers will announce the tribute to the 14 thousand present at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, in Las Vegas, in the United States. UFC 94 will be broadcast live on Sportv from 1am in the early hours of this Saturday to Sunday. The event is one of the most anticipated in martial arts, thanks to the fight between Canadian George St Pierre and American B.J. Penn – two of the best fighters in the world today. Another clash that generates great expectations is the one involving the Bahian's technique Lyoto Machida and the momentum of São Paulo Thiago Silva.

The rematch between the welterweight champion, George St Pierre, and the lightweight champion, B.J. Penn, is worth the welterweight belt. The two fighters faced each other in 2006, at UFC 58, in the fight that marked BJ's return to the octagon. On that occasion, St Pierre won narrowly by decision of the judges. But that doesn't seem to be enough. “I don’t want to defend the title. I want to beat BJ,” said St. Pierre on Thursday. BJ was more political: “There’s not much difference between us. Anyone can win.”

In Brazilian fighting, the highlight is the clash of styles. The technician and calculator Lyoto Machida ensures that he is focused only on his work. “I'm training for this. I know my conditions and what I can do.” Now the explosive Thiago Silva He didn’t miss the opportunity: “I fight standing up and on the ground. What I want is to fight, now if Lyoto doesn’t want to, I don’t know.”
