Retired from MMA since June, Joanna Jedrejczyk made it very clear that she does not intend to go back on her decision to hang up her gloves. The former strawweight champion (up to 56,7kg) stated that she thought a lot before announcing her retirement, so as not to run the risk of regretting it, and revealed that she intends to venture into motorsport in the coming months.

“I always promised myself that if I left this sport, I would leave it forever. It's hard, but sometimes I wake up in the morning like, 'I would love to go back. Why am I doing this?’. That's the difficult part. For now, I'm done. I am really happy. I need to stick with my decision because there are many things that are making me get into this sport more and even continue fighting, but like I said, health is the most important thing. I’m not having any problems,” Joanna said.

Asked about her future, the former strawweight champion revealed that she will not move away from the sport, but that, surprisingly, she intends to venture into motorsport.

“Actually, after I get back from Las Vegas, I have a meeting with my race team. I'm going to try to do some training in July and maybe I'll do another race soon, next month or two. I'm actually thinking very seriously about getting into motorsport. Can not wait. I'm very happy with my sponsors, they don't need to leave me. I'll continue in MMA forever, but I'll give them another chance to stay together as a family, to do something great. I'm very happy about this and about building my brand and extending it. I can’t wait to drive these fast cars and go crazy like I used to do in the cage”, concluded the former champion.
