The UFC has enriched its roster of flyweight fighters (up to 65 kg) with a big – literally – signing. With an incredible height of 1,93 m, Will Chope arrives at the organization to be, by far, the tallest fighter in the category.
Born in the United States but residing in the Philippines, the 23-year-old fighter is eight centimeters taller than the heavyweight champion, Cain Velazquez, and is the same height as the owner of the light heavyweight belt, Jon Jones. Among the featherweights, the tallest fighter at that time was Cole Miller, 1,85 m.
But size is not the only factor that impresses Chope. Former champion of the Asian URCC event, the fighter has won 14 consecutive victories, with his overall record being 19 wins and five losses. Of all the victories, four were by knockout, 12 by submission and only three by judges' decision.
His debut is expected to take place at the first UFC event in Singapore, in January. Although there is no official confirmation, negotiations are advanced for Chope to face Russian prospect Bekbulat Magomedov, undefeated after 11 fights, who will also make his first appearance in the octagon.
The main fight of the event will be between welterweights Jake ellenberger and former Strikeforce champion, Tarec saffiedine.

look, height has nothing to do with it, if you have talent that's fine, UFC is another story, I believe it won't succeed, when it comes to catching seasoned fighters their legs will be a constant target...
