In celebration of its 20th anniversary, the UFC organized a list of the 20 best knockouts in the organization's history and Anderson Silva, one of the biggest names in the history of the event, was highlighted in the ranking. Two Spider moments share first place in the top-20: Anderson's kick in Vitor belfort and the sequence of punches from Chris Weidman towards the Brazilian.
Other athletes from Brazil appear in the top-20: Vitor belfort, with the fulminating sequence to win Wanderlei Silva in 1998; Renan Barao, with the kick rotated over Eddie Wineland; Wanderlei Silva, in the defeat to Quinton “Rampage”Jackson; Lyoto Machida, with the kick “à la Karate Kid” towards Randy Couture; Mauritius Shogun, in winning the light heavyweight belt against Lyoto Machida; Gabriel “Napão” Gonzaga, making Mirko “Cro-Cop” taste his own medicine; It is Edson Barboza, with the impressive kick in Terry emo at UFC Rio 2.
